Chronicler of a living knowledge system documenting the reclassification of the Royal Golden Cocoon of Java (Cricula trifenestrata).

Informed by the late Professor Dr. Hiromu Akai’s scientific work on wild silk development (initiated in 1988) and sustained by the Royal Family of Yogyakarta since the 1990s, the initiative embodies the Javanese philosophy of Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana, “to nurture and beautify the world,” in which biodiversity stewardship and value creation align.

A climate-conscious visual atlas of Royal Wild Silk is in development, presenting kimonos and crafted forms reflecting the Yogyakarta–Kyoto Sister Province relationship (est. 1985), where Japanese craftsmanship and scientific precision meet Javanese lived ecology.
