In its resolution 54/10, the Human Rights Council decided to extend the mandate of Special Rapporteur on the implications for human rights of the environmentally sound management and disposal of hazardous substances and wastes for a period of three years and invited the Special Rapporteur to report to the Council in accordance with its programme of work. The Council will consider the reports of the previous mandate holder, Marcos Orellana, during an interactive dialogue with the new mandate holder, Bethanie Carney Almroth.
