In its resolutions 47/21 and 56/13, the Human Rights Council requested the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the International Independent Expert Mechanism to Advance Racial Justice and Equality in Law Enforcement each to prepare, on an annual basis, a written report, and to present them jointly to the Council during an enhanced interactive dialogue that prioritized the participation of directly affected individuals and communities, including victims and their families. The Council will consider the reports of the High Commissioner and the Expert Mechanism during an enhanced interactive dialogue.
