In its resolution 54/8, the Human Rights Council decided to extend, for a period of three years, the mandate of Special Rapporteur on the promotion of truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-recurrence and requested the Special Rapporteur to continue to report annually to the Council. The Council will consider the report of the mandate holder, Bernard Duhaime, during an interactive dialogue.

In its resolution 54/9, the Human Rights Council decided to establish, for a period of three years, a working group on the rights of peasants and other people working in rural areas. In the same resolution, the Council also decided that the working group should submit an annual report to the Council according to its programme of work. The Council will consider the report of the working group during an interactive dialogue.
